Portugal maintained their stranglehold on the game after the break despite a flurry of substitutions. On the hour mark, Bruno Fernandes turned provider once again, delivering a pinpoint ball from a corner for Joao Felix to double the lead with a composed finish.

Boasting a two-goal cushion, Portugal comfortably dictated the tempo until the final whistle. The United States saw their intensity wane as the Europeans managed the closing stages with ease, nearly adding a third in a performance that will surely bolster confidence ahead of the World Cup.
