My £4 free bet vanished out of my account. Thomas sorted everything and I'm happy to say I got my £4 back. It's not a fortune but it's a couple of my little bets. Thanks Thomas and PP.
Latest Negative Reviews
Terrible site ... coin sink ... just put 20 in to change my mind .. £1.14 back from £20 ! Never mind all the other money ive spent on this site ... disgusting tbh ... on par with tombola absolutely terrible slots site only thing good about it is the varity of games
The most ridiculous customer service. I deposited £30 (no check on ID, just straight in for a bit of fun). Ended up coming out on top so went to withdraw my original £30 and the £10 I won (not part of any promotions, free spins/bets etc). One week on, I'm no in a loop having to send proof of address, proof of payment details, drivers license and pretty much my inside leg measurements! Never coming back to them, was fun playing for an afternoon but clearly they DO NOT WANT TO GIVE YOU YOUR MONEY BACK.. despite plaing fairly and honestly and having a bit of luck.

Our Assessment
Paddy Power offers good value through diverse promotions, particularly the free-to-play games and Money Back as Cash options. However, players must review the specific T&Cs for each promotion they wish to claim, as this overview document does not contain detailed wagering requirements or restrictions. The loyalty programs appear worthwhile for regular bettors on both sports and slots.
Terms & Conditions Rating
Paddy Power's T&C present significant risks to players despite excellent responsible gambling tools and high fund protection standards. The terms heavily favor the operator with extremely broad definitions of prohibited activities, extensive rights to void bets and withhold winnings retroactively, maximum payout limits regardless of stake, and explicit exclusion of liability for regulatory compliance. The combination of indefinite investigation powers, account suspension without notification, and ability to act on 'reasonable suspicion' alone creates substantial uncertainty for players. New customer withdrawal restrictions and short bonus expiry periods add to concerns.
NOT RECOMMENDED for most players due to severe unfair terms. While Paddy Power offers excellent responsible gambling tools and high fund protection standards, the T&C contain multiple severe red flags that create substantial risks. The explicit exclusion of liability for regulatory compliance, combined with maximum payout limits regardless of stake, extremely broad prohibited activities definitions, extensive rights to void bets retroactively, and indefinite investigation powers with account suspension, heavily favor the operator. New customers face particularly harsh restrictions with withdrawal blocks for 30 days despite being able to deposit significant amounts. Only consider if you: (1) fully understand and accept these risks, (2) plan to bet small amounts well below maximum payout limits, (3) can provide extensive verification documentation on demand, and (4) value the strong responsible gambling tools. Players seeking fairer terms should look elsewhere.
T&C Pros
- High level of fund protection with segregated Trust Fund
Customer funds held by The Sporting Exchange (Clients) Limited under Trust Deed, meeting UK Gambling Commission 'high protection' standard. Funds protected even if Paddy Power becomes insolvent.
- Comprehensive responsible gambling tools available
Includes deposit limits with cooling-off periods, loss/transfer limits, reality check timers, take a break options, self-exclusion (minimum 6 months), GAMSTOP integration, and cross-brand exclusion across Paddy Power, Betfair, Sky Betting & Gaming, PokerStars, and tombola.
- No fees charged on deposits or withdrawals
Paddy Power does not charge customers for deposits or withdrawals (clause 8.8), though third-party payment providers may impose their own fees.
- Clear dispute resolution process available
Dedicated Dispute Resolution policy referenced in clause 32, with commitment to resolve issues fairly and transparently.
- Multiple currency options and payment methods accepted
Supports GBP and EUR currencies. Multiple payment methods including bank transfer, debit card, and various e-wallets. Detailed information provided on processing times.
T&C Cons
- Extremely broad definition of 'Prohibited Activities' with severe consequences
Clause 10 lists 20+ activities that can result in account closure, voided bets, and withheld winnings. Includes vague terms like 'suspicious betting' and allows Paddy Power to act on 'reasonable suspicion' without proof. Can withhold all funds and void all transactions retroactively.
- Maximum payout limits apply regardless of stake amount
Clause 18.4: Maximum winnings limits apply per 24-hour period as set in Betting Rules. Players only receive up to maximum limit 'regardless of the amount you stake and no matter how much you appear to have won.' Limits vary by sport/event but not clearly stated in main T&C.
- Extensive rights to void bets and withhold winnings for errors/malfunctions
Clause 19: Paddy Power can void transactions and withhold winnings for any 'Error, Malfunction or Interruption' even if not apparent to customer. Applies retroactively after settlement. Includes 'palpable errors' in odds. Customer bears all risk of software/system failures.
- Limited liability and exclusion of regulatory duty of care
Clause 28.2: Paddy Power explicitly states they are NOT liable for compliance/non-compliance with regulatory obligations including 'safer gambling' or 'social responsibility' duties. Maximum liability limited to greater of stake amount or £10,000 per incident (clause 28.4).
- Verification can block withdrawals indefinitely with broad investigation powers
Clause 5.6 & 8.7: Account can be restricted preventing withdrawals if customer doesn't provide requested information. No time limit specified for investigations. Clause 12.1: Account suspended without notification during investigations with no access to funds.
- New UK customers face £1,500 deposit limit with withdrawal restrictions
Clause 5.2: New UK customers limited to £1,500 deposits in first 30 days (€2,000 for Ireland) with NO withdrawals permitted until full verification completed. Funds essentially locked until verification.
- Closed loop policy requires withdrawing to same payment method as deposit
Clause 8.1.3: Must withdraw to each payment method at least the total deposited before using another method. Can complicate withdrawals if original payment method no longer available.
- Bonuses expire after only 7 days if unused
Standard Promotional Terms clause 3.2: Any bonus issued valid for only 7 days from issue date. Remaining/unused bonus removed after this period. Very short timeframe compared to industry standards.
Important T&C Warnings
- •CRITICAL: Maximum payout limits apply regardless of stake amount - you will only receive up to the limit 'no matter how much you appear to have won' (clause 18.4-18.5)
- •CRITICAL: Paddy Power explicitly excludes liability for compliance with regulatory obligations including safer gambling duties (clause 28.2)
- •CRITICAL: New UK customers cannot withdraw ANY funds for first 30 days until full verification completed, despite being able to deposit up to £1,500 (clause 5.2)
- •CRITICAL: Extremely broad 'Prohibited Activities' (20+ definitions in clause 10) can result in account closure, voided bets, and withheld winnings based on 'reasonable suspicion' alone
- •CRITICAL: Paddy Power can void bets and withhold winnings for any Error, Malfunction or Interruption even if not apparent to you and discovered only after settlement (clause 19)
- •Account can be suspended without notification during investigations with no access to funds and no specified time limit (clause 12.1)
- •Bonuses expire after only 7 days if unused - very short timeframe (Standard Promotional Terms clause 3.2)
- •Must withdraw to same payment method as deposit before using alternative methods - 'closed loop policy' (clause 8.1.3)
- •Paddy Power can close your account at any time with 14 days notice without providing reason (clause 12.4)
- •All calls to Dial-a-Bet are recorded (clause 15.5)

Pros
- Zero fees on all deposits and withdrawals
- Instant withdrawals available via Pay by Bank

Cons
- No cryptocurrency support
- Closed loop policy requires withdrawing to same method as deposit
Our Verdict
Paddy Power offers an excellent range of 13 payment methods covering cards, e-wallets, bank transfers, prepaid options, and even cash deposits at physical shops. A major strength is that Paddy Power charges no fees on any payment method, and the Pay by Bank option provides instant withdrawals - rare in the industry. Notable gaps include no cryptocurrency support and limited specific information on deposit/withdrawal limits which require checking the cashier directly.

Best for Casual Bettors
PayPal - Universally trusted, instant deposits, withdrawals within 24 hours, and familiar interface for most users
