Bonus Terms Analysis
Meridianbet operates under Belgian gambling regulations which prohibit bonuses entirely (Royal Decree 25/10/2018). While this means no promotional value, it also means no complex wagering requirements or bonus-related restrictions. The betting rules are clearly written with defined hierarchies for dispute resolution. However, the company reserves significant discretion regarding limits, error handling, and voiding bets based on suspicion of coordination.
Bonus T&C Pros
- No bonus wagering requirements to worry about
Article 4.1 states: 'The Company does not give any bonuses following article 5 of the Royal Decree of 25/10/2018.' Belgian regulation prohibits betting bonuses, meaning players won't be trapped by complex wagering requirements.
- Clear official information source hierarchy
Article 1.13 establishes a clear hierarchy for determining outcomes: 1) Official website of the organizer, 2) Official website of the host, 3) Official website of the Home team, 4) Official website of the Away team. Live score sites are explicitly excluded.
- Guaranteed payout of winnings
Article 2.2.7 states: 'The Company guarantees the payout of Winnings during the Betting on Events.'
- Quick payout timeline
Article 2.2.8: 'Payout will be executed immediately after the announcement of official Outcomes, at the latest within 15 days from the day of the announcement of official Outcomes if there are disputable Outcomes.'
- Odds are fixed at time of bet placement
Article 2.1.5: 'All published Odds are subject to variation and become fixed at the time a bet is placed.'
- Fair Dead-Heat rule for tied outcomes
Article 1.2 clearly defines the Dead-Heat Rule: 'the Stake will be divided by the number of tied Participants and multiplied with the regular Odd from the ticket.'
Bonus T&C Cons
- No bonuses or promotions available
Article 4.1: 'The Company does not give any bonuses following article 5 of the Royal Decree of 25/10/2018.' This is a Belgian regulatory requirement, not a company choice, but players seeking bonuses should look elsewhere.
- Company reserves broad rights to impose and change limits
Article 2.3.1-2.3.3: The Company can impose minimum bet, maximum bet, maximum winnings, and maximum odds limits, and 'reserves the right to change any of these limitations, at any moment, for competitions and individual participants in Betting.'
- Multiple copies of same bet may be treated as one bet
Article 2.1.7: 'A number of Bets may be treated as being one when a client places multiple copies of the same Bet.' This can limit winning potential on successful strategies.
- Broad error clause allows odds adjustment
Article 2.2.4-2.2.6: In case of errors, the company can void bets or recalculate at 'real Odds' or 'average value of the Odds according to the odds offered on the world market.' This is subjective and favors the bookmaker.
- Outright bets are 'all in, run or not'
Article 3.6.2: 'should a selection fails to take part in the Event, or has to leave the Event prematurely, the Bet is a losing' - no refunds for non-starters in outright markets unless sport-specific rules state otherwise.
- In-play betting subject to interruptions without liability
Article 3.4.3: 'In-play Betting may be interrupted in the course of play due to any kind of failure by the Company to follow the broadcast or for any other technical reason.' No compensation for service interruptions.
- Ambiguous instructions clause gives company discretion
Article 2.1.8: 'Where a Player gives ambiguous instructions the Company reserves the right to split the total staked between the potential Outcomes' or void the bet. 'The decision of the Company is final.'
- Associated betting clause is vaguely defined
Article 3.8.1: Bets can be voided if the company 'suspects' they are associated to avoid limits, without requiring proof. This affects players who may legitimately back similar outcomes.
- Mix bet limits determined by lowest-limit event
Article 2.3.4: 'If a mix includes several Events with different limitations on maximum stake, then the amount of the maximum stake in this mix will be determined by the Event with the lowest limit.'
Bonus Warnings
- •NO BONUSES AVAILABLE: Belgian law prohibits betting bonuses - do not expect any promotional offers
- •Outright bets are 'all in, run or not' - no refunds if your selection doesn't participate
- •Company can change betting limits at any time for any competition or individual player
- •Errors in odds can result in bets being recalculated at 'market average' or voided entirely
- •Suspected 'associated betting' can lead to bet voiding without proof requirement

- Acting contrary to Terms and Conditions, Betting Rules, Game Rules, or Gambling Law
Article 5.1: Company shall declare betting void in such cases

Our Assessment
Meridianbet is a straightforward Belgian-licensed bookmaker with no bonus program due to regulatory requirements. This is ideal for players who want to avoid bonus complications and prefer transparent, no-strings-attached betting. However, value-seekers looking for promotional offers should look to bookmakers in other jurisdictions. The terms are reasonably fair with clear dispute resolution processes, though players should be aware of the company's broad discretion regarding limits and error handling.
Terms & Conditions Rating
These terms contain several severe red flags including excessive administrative fees (10% with €150 minimum), fund forfeiture after 6 months for identity issues, and broad company discretion to refuse bets and confiscate funds. While responsible gambling tools exist and deposit limits are reasonable, the overall terms heavily favor the operator with punitive fees and unclear fund seizure conditions.
AVOID or USE WITH EXTREME CAUTION. These terms contain unusually punitive clauses including excessive administrative fees, fund forfeiture provisions, and broad discretionary powers favoring the operator. The 10% fee with €150 minimum for various scenarios and the 6-month fund forfeiture clause are particularly concerning. Players should only use this site if they fully understand and accept these significant financial risks. Consider operators with more player-friendly terms and transparent fee structures.
T&C Pros
- No fees for account creation, management or closure
Article 5.3.1: The Company charges no fees to the Player for creating, managing or closing the Player Account. Article 5.3.2: No fees for transactions to/from Player Account (except fast transfers or non-EU transfers)
- Reasonable maximum weekly deposit limit with increase option
Article 5.1.7: Maximum weekly deposit = €200, with option to request increase after 3 days with Gaming Commission approval. Minimum weekly deposit = €1
- Fast withdrawal processing timeframe
Article 5.1.10: Payments processed within 3 days if no counter indications. Meridianbet makes every effort to process within 24 hours
- Comprehensive responsible gambling tools available
Article 6.3: Players can self-exclude for specific or indefinite duration. Article 5.1.7: Deposit limits can be set. Gaming Commission access ban option available
- Clear account reactivation policy after closure
Article 6.5: After termination, Player Account may be reactivated at any time by email request, provided Player is no longer excluded
T&C Cons
- Extremely high administration fee for withdrawals without proportional betting
Article 5.2.2: 10% administration fee charged for deposits/withdrawals made without proportional betting. Article 5.3.3: 10% fee when withdrawing full deposit immediately after payment
- Funds on inactive accounts become company property after 6 months
Article 4.3.6: If registration data doesn't match real identity, after 6 months of blocking, funds on Player Account become irrevocably property of the Company with loss of all rights to Player and successors
- Broad discretionary rights to refuse bets and block accounts
Article 2.4: Company reserves right to refuse acceptance of complete or partial Bets at any time without explanation. Article 4.1.4: Can immediately suspend/block Player Account and block funds without recourse
- Minimum €150 administrative fee in fraud cases even when returning deposits
Article 5.5.1: In case of suspected fraud/manipulation, Company returns only deposits after deduction of 10% administrative fee with minimum of €150
- No interest paid on Player Account balances
Article 5.1.5: Money on Player Account does not give right to interest, despite funds being held by the company
- Inactive accounts closed after 30 months with difficult refund process
Article 5.4.1: Accounts inactive for 30+ months can be closed. Company will 'reasonably endeavour' to refund but if impossible, becomes owner of funds
Important T&C Warnings

Pros
- 15 instant deposit methods available
- Strong Belgian banking integration with Bancontact, Belfius, and ING
- Low €10 minimum deposit on most methods, €1 on bank transfer
Cons
- All withdrawals processed as bank transfers regardless of deposit method

Our Verdict
Meridianbet Belgium offers 16 payment methods with a strong focus on Belgian and European banking options including Bancontact, Belfius, ING, and iDEAL, alongside international e-wallets like PayPal, Skrill, and Neteller. A significant limitation is the strict €200 weekly deposit cap imposed by the Belgian Gaming Commission (which can be increased upon request with 72-hour approval). All payments are processed through HiPay, and notably all withdrawals are executed as bank transfers regardless of the original deposit method.
Best for Deposit
Bancontact - Most popular and widely used Belgian payment method with instant deposits and convenient QR code scanning
Best for Withdrawal
HiPay Wallet - Central withdrawal processor for all methods; all payouts are executed as bank transfers with €10 minimum
Best for High Rollers
Bank Transfer - Lowest minimum deposit at €1 and traditional banking option, though the €200/week regulatory cap applies until a limit increase is approved
Best for Casual Bettors
Bancontact - Universal in Belgium, low €10 minimum deposit, instant processing, and very familiar to Belgian users
