Latest Negative Reviews
I have been a customer of Betdaq for more than 20 years. Today I asked them to close the said account.A short while ago I tried to deposit a small amount of money, only to discover my gross deposit limit had been reduced to £3.50 a day (£100 per month) from £1000 per month without the courtesy of informing me I emailed customer service, no reply. So, as I say today I asked them to close the account. There is no legislation for such action taken by Betdaq, and there are plenty to choose from, so my hobby/pleasure will not decrease I am 75 years of age and have been having a bet since I was sixteen, but Betdaq must think I am a child who needs pocket money dished out by their whims. Ironically, Mr Dermot Desmond (owner of Betdaq at the time), in around 2000/01, at Leapardstown racecourse in a box there, asked me to "give Betdaq a go" as I was well known at a rival company, even sending a rep to my house in Surrey, to "sign me up". However, if a customer of 20 years gets the shabby treatment I have received, why should I patronise them, no matter who owns the company. Betdaq were never the number one, but now they are behind the black market companies, shame on them. Barry Turnbull

Our Assessment
Exercise extreme caution with BETDAQ bonuses. The complete non-withdrawal nature of promotional amounts and total forfeiture upon cash withdrawal make these bonuses very player-unfriendly. Players should request and carefully review the specific promotional terms before opting in to any bonus, as the main T&C document lacks critical details about wagering requirements and other conditions.
Terms & Conditions Rating
BETDAQ's T&Cs present significant risks due to extremely broad discretionary powers allowing account suspension, bet voiding, and indefinite fund withholding with minimal objective criteria. While responsible gambling tools are comprehensive and dispute resolution process is strong, these positives are overshadowed by one-sided terms heavily favoring the operator. The extensive indemnification requirements, limited liability caps, and vague definitions of 'suspicious activity' create substantial uncertainty for customers. KYC requirements are reasonable but enforcement is inconsistent between UK and non-UK customers.
APPROACH WITH EXTREME CAUTION. While BETDAQ offers legitimate betting services with good responsible gambling tools, the Terms & Conditions are heavily one-sided and contain numerous red flags. The company's extensive discretionary powers to suspend accounts, void bets, and withhold funds with minimal accountability create significant risk for customers. The vague language around 'suspicious activity', 'reasonable timeframes', and 'detrimental conduct' provides almost unlimited latitude for arbitrary decisions. Combined with very limited liability caps and mandatory customer indemnification, these terms offer poor protection for players. Only recommended for experienced bettors who fully understand and accept these substantial risks. New or casual players should consider operators with more balanced and customer-friendly terms. Always maintain detailed records of all transactions and communications.
T&C Pros
- Comprehensive responsible gambling tools including self-exclusion, deposit limits, and GAMSTOP integration
Customers can set deposit limits at registration, self-exclude for minimum 6 months, use Time Out facility, Reality Check for casino games, and register with GAMSTOP national self-exclusion service. Multiple limit-setting options available (daily/weekly/monthly).
- Transparent fund protection with segregated accounts
Customer funds held in segregated bank account separate from corporate funds, meeting British Gambling Commission's 'medium protection' level. Funds would not form part of company assets in event of insolvency.
- Clear dispute resolution process with independent adjudication
Two-phase internal complaints procedure with 8-week resolution period, followed by independent adjudication through IBAS (for GB customers) or Alderney Gambling Commissioner. Free-of-charge service with final and binding decisions.
- No deposit or withdrawal surcharges for standard payment methods
From 13th January 2018, no surcharges levied for standard payments (card, e-wallet, non-urgent bank transfer). Minimum deposit only £/€/$10.
- Reasonable commission structure for Exchange betting
Flat 2% commission on Exchange net market winnings for UK, Ireland, Gibraltar, Jersey customers (5% for other territories). Commission only paid on net winnings, not losses.
T&C Cons
- Extremely broad account suspension and fund withholding rights
BETDAQ can suspend/close accounts and withhold funds 'at absolute discretion' for vague reasons including 'acting in a manner detrimental to business conduct', 'suspected difficulties obtaining credit', or 'inadequate Source of Funds information'. Can donate withheld funds to charity after investigation.
- Very limited liability and extensive customer indemnification requirements
Maximum liability limited to 6 months of commissions (Exchange) or £/€/$10,000 (Casino). Customers must indemnify BETDAQ for all third-party claims, payment chargebacks, and any losses from errors in instructions. Company accepts 'no responsibility' for service misuse consequences.
- Unilateral right to void bets and correct settlements without clear standards
BETDAQ reserves right to void any/all bets for 'suspicious activity', 'market manipulation', or 'palpably different odds' with no objective criteria defined. Can correct 'errors of settlement' retroactively and recover funds, potentially creating negative account balance customer must immediately cover.
- Terms can be changed with minimal notice and automatic acceptance
BETDAQ may amend Terms and Conditions at any time, effective immediately after posting on website. Material changes communicated via email/pop-up with 'as much notice as reasonable' (undefined). Continued use constitutes acceptance. No opt-out except closing account.
- Inactive account fees after 12 months with limited reimbursement window
Reasonable inactive fee charged after 12 months of no login. While fee can be reimbursed on request, this is only available for 12 months after initial fee application. Funds could be depleted over time if customer remains unaware.
- No KYC verification deadline but can freeze accounts and withhold funds indefinitely
UK customers cannot use services until KYC complete. Non-UK customers can deposit and bet before verification, but accounts can be frozen and funds withheld indefinitely if verification not completed 'within reasonable timeframe' (undefined). No winnings paid without satisfactory KYC.
- Broad restrictions on bonus withdrawal with processing fees
Withdrawing cash balances committed to active bonus offers results in: (1) processing fees for partial withdrawals, and (2) forfeiture of all bonus balances and pending winnings. Promotional amounts cannot be withdrawn and may have separate T&Cs not fully disclosed.
Important T&C Warnings
- •BETDAQ can suspend accounts and withhold funds indefinitely 'at absolute discretion' for vague reasons including 'acting detrimental to business' with no objective criteria
- •Company can void any bets retroactively for 'suspicious activity' or 'market manipulation' without clear definitions, and can donate withheld funds to charity
- •Maximum liability to customers extremely limited: 6 months commissions (Exchange) or £10,000 (Casino) regardless of actual losses caused by company errors
- •Terms can be changed at any time with immediate effect - continued use equals acceptance with no opt-out except closing account
- •Non-UK customers can deposit and bet before KYC verification but all transactions may be voided and funds frozen if verification not completed in undefined 'reasonable timeframe'
- •Withdrawing funds during active bonus offers results in processing fees and forfeiture of all bonus balances and pending winnings
- •Company's electronic records are 'final authority' and 'conclusive evidence' for all disputes with no independent verification required

Our Verdict
BETDAQ offers 8 payment methods covering cards, e-wallets, and bank transfers, all with free fees which is a strong positive. E-wallets (PayPal, Skrill, Neteller) provide the fastest withdrawals at up to 24 hours, while card withdrawals take 2-5 business days. PayPal - Instant deposits with the fastest withdrawal turnaround (up to 24 hours) and widely trusted
Best for Withdrawal
PayPal / Skrill / Neteller - All three e-wallets process withdrawals in up to 24 hours, significantly faster than cards (2-5 days) or bank transfer (1-5 days)
Best for High Rollers
Bank Transfer - The €200 minimum suggests it's designed for larger transactions; bank transfers typically support higher limits though specifics not disclosed
Best for Casual Bettors
Visa Debit - Universal and familiar method requiring no additional account setup, with 3D Secure protection and free fees
