Portugal's SRIJ Expands Responsible Gambling Education Program to Fourth School
Portugal's gambling regulator SRIJ has expanded its responsible gambling awareness initiative to the Escola de Hotelaria e Turismo (EHT) do Oeste, marking the fourth tourism school to host the program in 2025.
Program OverviewThe 'More Than a Game' (Mais que um Jogo) project is a joint initiative between Tourism of Portugal, through SRIJ and the Directorate of Skills Management and Training (DGCC), with support from the Institute for Addictive Behaviors and Dependencies (ICAD).
The program specifically targets students at Portugal's tourism schools and higher education institutions, focusing on responsible gambling practices in the context of online gaming and betting.
Expansion Across PortugalThe November 25, 2025 session at EHT Oeste also included participation from the Integrated Response Center (CRI) of Oeste, part of the Regional Health Administration of Lisbon and Tagus Valley.
