Portugal Online Gambling Revenue Jumps 11.6% in Q3 2025
Portugal's gambling regulator SRIJ has released its Q3 2025 activity reports, revealing continued strong growth in the online sector while land-based operations show mixed results.
Online Sector OutperformsOnline gambling and sports betting gross revenue increased by 11.6% compared to the same quarter in 2024, continuing the digital channel's upward trajectory in the Portuguese market.
Land-Based Performance MixedThe traditional casino and gaming machine sector experienced a 4.6% decline in gross revenue year-over-year. However, bingo halls bucked the land-based trend, posting a modest 1.6% increase in gross revenue compared to Q3 2024.
The contrasting performance between online and territorial gambling segments reflects broader European trends, with digital channels continuing to capture market share from brick-and-mortar operations.
Full activity reports for both online and land-based gambling are available on the SRIJ website.
