Ireland and Gibraltar Regulators Sign MOU Ahead of Irish Licensing Launch

The Gambling Regulatory Authority of Ireland (GRAI) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Gibraltar Gambling Commissioner, marking the third such agreement as Ireland moves toward launching its licensing regime.

Cross-Border Cooperation FrameworkGRAI CEO Anne Marie Caulfield and Gibraltar Commissioner Andrew Lynam signed the agreement in Dublin on June 25th. The MOU establishes a formal framework for information sharing and cooperation between the two regulators.

Gibraltar's Advisory RoleThe agreement formalises what has been an ongoing relationship, with Gibraltar regulators providing support during GRAI's establishment phase. The experienced Gibraltar team has offered guidance as Ireland builds its regulatory infrastructure from the ground up.

Licensing Phase ApproachingThis MOU is part of GRAI's broader strategy to establish regulatory partnerships ahead of opening for its first phase of licensing. The authority has indicated additional MOUs with other jurisdictions will follow in the coming months.
