Cyprus Gaming Authority Launches 'Take Control' Responsible Gambling Campaign

The Cyprus Gaming and Casino Supervision Commission (CGC) has launched a new national awareness campaign called "Take Control" as part of its broader Responsible and Safe Gaming Plan. The initiative aims to strengthen public awareness, prevention, and protection from gambling-related risks.

Holiday Season TimingThe campaign launches strategically ahead of the festive period, when gambling activity traditionally increases. With the central message "Take Control – Act Responsibly," the CGC emphasizes that entertainment should remain safe and within each player's personal limits.

The campaign uses clear, everyday messaging to help individuals recognize their own limits, understand their personal habits, and make conscious choices about their gambling behavior.

Protection Tools and Support ServicesKey emphasis is placed on informing the public about available protection tools. The campaign also highlights access to the 1422 Helpline and the FAROS Centre, which offer free support, counseling, and therapeutic services to individuals and families affected by problematic or pathological gambling.

Regulator's CommitmentCGC Executive Director Charis Tsangaridis stated: "The 'TAKE CONTROL' campaign reflects the Authority's commitment to protecting citizens through reliable information, prevention, and easy access to support. Our goal is for every individual to know the risks, recognize their limits, and have the necessary tools to maintain control."
